Sunday, February 6th Super Bowl Sunday
We will be closed on Super Bowl Sunday as the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.%20 We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, and we will be open for our regular Sunday%20hours (5:00pm - 9:00pm) the following week, February 13th.%20 Remember, Sundays we have our Japanese Street Food menu available!

We will be accepting reserverations for parties of any size on New Year's Eve.%20 Reservations times are available from 5:00pm - 10:00pm for two hours time slots, and we will be open until 11:00pm.%20 Join us as Executive Chef Kenichiro Shimbara prepares a wonderous array of Japanese specialties, our Chef de Cuisine creates signature fusion dishes, and our sushi bar masterfully renders your favorites!%20 Reservations can be made by calling Nanakusa at (414)-223-3200 during our regular business hours.

Tuesday, November 20th Prestige Wines Selections Wine Dinner
Join us, and Holly Pody from Prestige Wines as we taste through a selection of delicious, affordable wines for the holidays!%20 We will be pairing%20scrumptious items from our kitchen and sushi bar with wines that are also going to compliment traditional American holiday fare.%20 This evening event will have a multi-course meal plus dessert.%20 Check back for further details, but here is what we have so far:

Showcasing a selection of Japanese teas, from sakura-cha and konbu-cha to sencha, genmai-cha and matcha.%20 Following the tasting, a demonstration of the Japanese tea ceremony performed by Yoko Kawamura and tasting of the tea used in the ceremony.
Time: 5:30pm until 7:00pm
Cost: $15 per person

Sunday, October 11th%20 Anderson Gardens Field Trip
We invite you to join us for an excursion to Anderson Gardens in Rockford, IL.%20 Anderson Gardens was begun in 1978 and%20is one of the best examples of Japanese gardening in the U.S (more about the gardens can be found at their website www.andersongardens.org).%20 We are timing the trip to coincide with the momijii viewing (maple trees) at%20its peak, and demonstrations of ikebana (flower arrangement) and tea ceremony that are hosted by the gardens this weekend.%20 Our group will have a guided tour of the gardens and be able to observe the tea ceremony and ikebana demonstrations.%20 For those interested in continuing their Japanese cultural experience that evening, we will be offering an autumn hassun for participants of the tour if they choose to dine in the restaurant that evening.

Wednesday, October 21st%20 Wine Dinner
Brian Miracle of Third Coast Wine Werks%20will be joining us along with a selection of wines from his Robert Kacher Imports portfolio.%20 Included in the dinner will be Rene Mure Crement d'Alsace, Denis Pommier Chablis 2005, Santa Duc "Vielles Vignes" Cotes du Rhone, and Domaine Ambroise Bourgogne Rouge, along with three other wines to be paired with a selection of dishes from the kitchen and sushi bar of Nanakusa.%20 With matsutake mushrooms in season we will definitely be including them in the dinner.%20 Reservations required by Sunday, October 18th.
Cost%20 $58 per person, tax and gratuity extra.
